BY YOUR SIDE
I thank you for the
Ultimate selflessness
You grace me with,
So that I can uncover my own
When I hold on to the imaginary control.
I thank you for the space
You provide,
So that I can
Remember my own spaciousness
When I feel contracted.
I thank you for the vastness
You embrace me with,
So that I can expand
When I falsly believe
In my smallness.
I thank you for the clarity
That punches me
Right in the face sometimes,
So that I can cut the bullshit
And come back to what's true.
I thank you for the strength
You exhibit
So that I can apply my own,
When I fall into oblivion
And disqualify it.
I thank you for the patience
That ceaselessly
Springs from within you,
So that I can face my own unrest.
Ah... I could go on and on...
And I will too, in another poem.
You provide,
So that I can
Remember my own spaciousness
When I feel contracted.
I thank you for the vastness
You embrace me with,
So that I can expand
When I falsly believe
In my smallness.
I thank you for the clarity
That punches me
Right in the face sometimes,
So that I can cut the bullshit
And come back to what's true.
I thank you for the strength
You exhibit
So that I can apply my own,
When I fall into oblivion
And disqualify it.
I thank you for the patience
That ceaselessly
Springs from within you,
So that I can face my own unrest.
Ah... I could go on and on...
And I will too, in another poem.
